Heavy duty clothes rail

It’s a well made rail and will last for a long time. However I gave 4 stars instead of 5 because I had to remake the frame up again to get the bottom shelf on. There should be instructions in the main frame box to tell us that you need to add the shelves when building the frame. Not when you open the shelves box with the instructions in how to fit the frame. This disappointing.

Design flaws

The rail was delivered on time. Once up the rail is sturdy. The issue is the design. The wheels simply drop out of the casings so are not fit for purpose. It would have been better if holes had been punched out of the metal for screws to be fitted. The result of screwing directly to metal is that you end up scratching the paintwork when trying to adjust the cross bars. Don’t bother with the mobile version. I think it’s about £20 cheaper for a static model. Apart from the flaws, it does the job.

The width of the top shelf, which slots into 4 holes in the 2 'v' pieces, was wider than the top cross bar, meaning the top cross bar could not be lowered onto the 2nd upright, unless the top parts were assembled before the uprights were placed into the lower 'A' pieces, but then the 2nd upright would not slot into the 2nd 'A' piece due to bending forces resulting from the non-parallel uprights due to the width mismatch. Even using a mallet didn't help. The assembly video was useless because it didn't feature the top shelf.
