One of our most-loved product ranges is the fashionable Chrome Wire Shelving range which is available in a variety of sizes, dimensions and weight capacities as well as numerous options on the amount of shelves and rails and whether to mount feet or wheels. You will notice we have now clearly labelled our Chrome Wire Shelving units so you can easily see at a glance how much you can store on each shelf according to our colour coded icons.
UDL stands for Uniform Distributed Load and is classed as the maximum load that can be supported across the whole loading width of the shelf. Our classification of ‘UDL’ per shelf will allow you to choose a shelving solution based on your storage or display needs ranging from light-duty all the way up to Super Heavy-Duty! UDL is calculated per shelf, as an example: a 1000mm wide shelf with a UDL of 100kg can hold ten 100mm wide boxes side-by-side, weighing up to 10kg each.
The Chrome Wire Shelving range provides a maximum 150 KG UDL for its Standard, Multi-Purpose variety, 40 KG on Light Duty units and up to 250 Kg on the Heavy Duty options.
