Retail Shelving – The Professional Choice
For years Retail Shelving has been the choice of many professional shop fitters, retail interior designers and independent shop owners. And no wonder why? It’s versatile and modular characteristics make it easy to build, extend and reconfigure without the use of any tools.
With its strong, steel construction, it is an ideal choice for use in supermarkets, department stores, High Street chains or any point of sale environment that requires a uniform and sturdy shelving solution, along with having the functionality to adapt as your business grows or with varying merchandising display constraints.
The Shopfitting Warehouse Retail Shelving range comes in wall, and gondola unit options. These can be used as individual units for smaller, contained displays or in multiples, so easily connected together to create runs of bays, plotting out your own bespoke store shelving layout. The entire range comes in two muted colours, Jura White and Silver, standardised tones that blend nicely with most modern interior colour schemes. Likewise, not to outshine your goods for sale but to show them off to their best potential. These are just two of the most common, standardised colours available with a full and extensive range, to purchased ‘off the shelf’ excusing the pun. However other colours and specialised units are available on request, making it even easier to match your interiors and brand colours.
As mentioned, Shopfitting Warehouse has simplified the shelving system by offering a range of Ready-Made wall and gondola kits with different panel, shelf and accessory types. The wall kits are also supplied with only one upright and one base leg, and for gondola, one upright and two base legs. This makes putting runs of bays together particularly easy. However, the main point to consider when looking to display a single unit or a run of bays, an additional end of run (upright and base leg/s) is required to complete your shelving system. Remember, you only need one additional end of run for each configuration, regardless of the amount of bays. However, if the standardised Ready-Made kits do not fit to your specification, it’s possible to create your own by using all the necessary components available to complete your personalised design.
Shelves can be slotted in to any of the 50mm increments marked along the upright. The most popular amount of shelves tend to be four and five, giving ample and attractive area depths to accommodate most merchandising shapes. Four and five shelf units also available in Ready-Made kit form, giving useful easy-to-view, eye-level shelving.
Equally flexible is the option to keep shelves straight or to make them sloping. This is achieved by setting the shelf brackets at one of the two angled variants when fitting into the H slots. Sloping shelves are great for arranging multiple, mid-sized DIY, garden or homeware products or for use in supermarket departments such as in the bakery or a newsagent’s confectionery area. A variety of back panel types open up options for whatever merchandising you are wishing to display. In some cases you may want an area for hanging, so a perforated panel with pegs will be ideal for this. If however you want to mix things up with shelves and hooks, perhaps a Slatwall style panel would be right for you. To simply light-up your merchandise, select a bay with LED lighting included, making this an easy and cost-effective choice for you.
Retail Shelving can instantly transform the look of a large open retail floor by offering unique and interesting presentation for a variety of merchandising types in one. By positioning product groups together, the variants of shelves available allow you to harmoniously place larger, bulkier items alongside, using a configuration that you feel suits. A choice of acrylic and chrome shelf dividers in various depths give definition between ensembles of product lines. While matching shelf risers keep everything securely in place and neatly in toe, while preventing items from dropping off the front of the shelves.
For distinct and prominent labelling, EPOS ticket edges in seven regular colours including clear provide the finishing touch to easy price presentation.
