Considerations for you Showroom Display

Whether a car, furniture, and interior decorating or design showroom often these types of environments are sparse, with particular attention paid to minimal product focus yet full of creative impact.

With so much powerful design on board, getting your display correct is just as important. This includes the main fixtures and fittings, right down to the leaflet holder providing all the necessary information. Since the ambiance is a little different to a shop, often your display and merchandise requires to be your silent salesperson. Clients tend to browse and ponder for longer, summing up ideas, their requirements and seeing what will inspire them. While in these crucial moments, products need to be displayed clearly, with literature alongside to capture their imagination. Use standing leaflet holders, great eye-level, easy access dispensers. Make sure they are always well organised, tidy and fully stocked. Maybe allow your client to sit down and relax by adding a few choice sofas or comfy seats with cushions with a table-top leaflet holder close-by to introduce your brochures and documents. While they are comfortable reading they are going to be more at ease with making a buying decision, so make them feel at home. Perhaps leave a few purposeful magazines, a vase of flowers or a few sweets to tempt them in. Above all keep everything clean and shipshape. There is nothing more off-putting than dog-eared literature and will never reach the right clientele.

Diversity of communications is important to keep clientele amused and in the loop. So quality advertising posters in frames or LED frames to instantly grab attention can work well. Try to take into account coordination and consistency within product areas where possible though. Throwing too many ideas and messages in a small confine can be overwhelming and difficult to compute, so harness each area individually and separately.

If you have a product promotion or new product launch perhaps think about the option to design a standalone banner to reel your clientele in. If it is a product that you could offer a sample, a competition to win ‘X’, what about placing a branded counter alongside for potential customers to take part?
For fixtures and fittings, again keeping orderly, appropriately stocked and fresh in a modern shelving or display wall, makes browsing simpler. Inspect your lighting, is it all functional and pointing in the right direction. Do lightbulbs need dusting or replacing?

Creating a calming, decluttered influence but with extreme impact, this is what will make your clientele feel and remember. Even if they don’t make a decision straight away, if they feel cosy about how a product which might improve their life, this slow-burner can often lead to the killer sale.

To muster an inquisitive crowd create a little elusiveness to a product. How about edging with barrier posts? For example, if you are selling your latest edition car, while also giving it prime focus, add some exclusivity so the crowd can see but not come too close, providing enough distance to intrigue … they will definitely want it more!
